FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The impact of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has disrupted the world, with our country in its third week of a 28-day national lockdown. At First Capital Bank we value the wellness of our local communities in which we operate and the health and safety of our customers and colleagues remains our highest priority. The Bank is committed to assisting customers with relief solutions across secured and unsecured loan products. The initial focus will be to offer help where it is needed most, in other words, those customers who have been directly impacted by the outbreak of Covid-19.

We have already engaged our impacted customers with regards to a three-month payment holiday starting 1 April 2020 and ending 30 June 2020 to assist with their cash-flows. Individuals who continue to receive their monthly salary are not deemed to be impacted at this stage and a payment holiday is therefore not yet offered to payroll loan customers. The Bank is monitoring the situation and will offer a blanket holiday once the need arises.

Should you require relief or additional assistance, engage your Relationship Manager via telephone, email or any of our digital channels. You can also contact our Customer Care Centre on:

We furthermore confirm that the Bank is working in partnership with the Bank of Botswana, the Government and Financial Industry to craft additional solutions during these challenging times. We will send you an update once more details are available.

The Bank remains a telephone call or email away.

Yours sincerely

Jaco Viljoen

Chief Executive Officer
